In the wedding world, December is not just a month for festive cheer, but also the month that color lovers look to Pantone for trend predictions for the year ahead. With Radiant Orchid’s reign coming to an end, it’s time for Marsala to take the color crown for the next 365 days. A deep, rich red, it’s not hard to see how Marsala got its name from an Italian wine – and styled in the right way, it can be just as delicious!

In a personal opinion I love this color for autumn weddings, but Marsala doesn't just have to be for autumn weddings. For those of you wanting to work this color trend all year round, mix up the palette with bright, softer pastel shades. Put a spring in its step by contrasting the rich red with soft greys and blues and a touch of dusky pink. Whatever season, you can make a Marsala wedding work for you!


Most importantly, you can’t have a Marsala wedding without honoring its namesake… Bring on the wine!
